X-Peng P7+: Our Newest Vision Board Darling, AI-Defined and Ultra-Comfortable

X-Peng P7+ at Melbourne EV Show 2025
From the moment we stepped into the show, one car, in particular, seized our attention: the X-Peng P7+. This beauty made its global debut outside of China right here in Melbourne, and we were among the very first to actually sit inside it. And oh. My. Goodness. It’s an absolute game-changer.
The interior of the P7+ isn’t just a car cabin; it’s a revelation. It genuinely feels like stepping into a remarkably comfortable spaceship. The seamless integration of tech is astounding – the wireless charging is a dream, and the driver’s chair? It gracefully adjusts to greet you as soon as you close the door. What truly blew us away was how it seemed to intuitively conform to our body contours, offering an almost custom-fitted level of support. This AI-defined sedan, built on the advanced SEPA 2.0 platform, offers an impressive range of up to 710 km (CLTC), powered by either a 60.7 kWh or 76.3 kWh battery.
Inside, the P7+ boasts a stunning 15.6-inch infotainment system, driven by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8285P chip, alongside dual 50W wireless charging pads for ultimate convenience. Furthermore, its advanced AI Hawk vision-only autonomous driving system promises enhanced safety and sophistication. There is simply ample space inside, giving a feeling of open, airy luxury that’s both supremely cool and wonderfully relatable. It doesn’t feel like a distant, unattainable future; it feels like our future. The X-Peng P7+ has officially earned its prime spot on our vision board, and we are eagerly awaiting its Australian market approval! Rolls-Royce EV Spectre: Cruising in Celestial Royalty

Next on our journey through electric dreams was a peek inside the magnificent Rolls-Royce EV, specifically the Spectre. Who would have thought an all-electric Rolls could feel so utterly… Rolls-Royce? We were completely mesmerized by the iconic “Starlight Headliner” – a ceiling adorned with thousands of hand-positioned fibre optic ‘stars.’ While it’s certainly a lavish novelty (and apparently a $30,000 add-on!), this added aesthetic transforms the cabin into a truly magical, celestial experience. Trust us, once you’re enveloped in that starry embrace, you’ll agree it makes a profound difference; it feels like royalty.
Rolls-Royce, a brand synonymous with timeless luxury and unparalleled craftsmanship, has navigated the EV transition with remarkable grace. The Spectre is equipped with a robust 102 kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering 577 horsepower and a staggering 900 Nm of torque, allowing it to glide from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, with a WLTP range of up to 530 km. It’s built on their proprietary “Architecture of Luxury,” ensuring the legendary “Magic Carpet Ride” sensation. What truly sets it apart is its profound intelligence, with 141,200 sender-receiver functions and over 25,000 sub-functions, making it the most connected Rolls-Royce ever conceived.
This level of sophistication extends to its effortless operation, with the graceful rear-hinged “coach doors” opening and closing at the touch of a button – which, by the way, proved quite the puzzle to shut initially, but that’s just part of its memorable charm! The sheer spaciousness and opulent grandeur within made our ten minutes of sitting there feel incredibly special, a true testament to the brand’s enduring allure. Explore the sublime details of the Spectre on the Rolls-Royce APAC website.

Lamborghini's Hybrid Roar: A Smart Evolution Balancing Heritage and High-Tech

Of course, no Glamorazzi visit to an auto show would be complete without a stop at Lamborghini! We heard their spokesperson explain that the brand patiently observed the burgeoning EV landscape, learning from others, before making their grand entrance. Their strategy? A clever lean into hybrid technology, leveraging the robust EV tech from their parent Volkswagen Group.
This hybrid approach allows Lamborghini to stay true to its fiery heritage of raw power and thrilling performance, while intelligently stepping into the realm of sustainability. Their “Direzione Cor Tauri” program perfectly encapsulates their commitment to maintaining the emotional connection drivers have with the brand – that unparalleled thrill of the ride – while embracing green mobility. This is vividly showcased in their latest models like the Revuelto, a V12-powered plug-in hybrid supercar boasting a mind-boggling combined output of over 1,000 horsepower, rocketing from 0-100 km/h in a mere 2.5 seconds, powered by a compact 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery.
Also making waves is the Urus SE, a plug-in hybrid Super SUV delivering 588 kW of power and 950 Nm of torque, capable of hitting 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, and offering up to 60 km of all-electric range from its 25.7 kWh battery. It’s about blending traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge advancements, delivering unmatched performance without compromise. A truly smart move that keeps the iconic bull charging powerfully into the future! Dive into the world of electrified performance at Lamborghini’s global site .

Segway: Fun, Accessible, and Safe EV Delights for Every Lifestyle

Beyond the luxury vehicles, we were genuinely impressed by the diverse range of EV products from Segway. Their innovations prove that electric mobility isn’t just about cars; it’s about making everyday transport more efficient, enjoyable, and sustainable for everyone.
The Segway-Ninebot GoKart Pro 2 instantly sparked our inner child, promising endless hours of fun with its ability to reach a top speed of 43 km/h. What’s more, it features manual drive mode with paddle shifters and offers four distinct auditory experiences to truly immerse you in the race. The ability to connect wirelessly for gaming, transforming it into a racing simulator, is pure genius (Super Mario time, indeed!). But it wasn’t just about play; their affordable e-Scooters caught our eye with their emphasis on top-notch safety features. Models like the Ninebot Max G3 and ZT3 Pro highlight Segway’s commitment to user well-being, incorporating features like a Smart Battery Management System (BMS) for optimal battery health, robust off-road pneumatic tires for stability, and intuitive app integration for customizable settings and speed control.
For those looking to dip their toes into the EV world without the significant investment of a car, these Segway products offer a fantastic, accessible entry point. Perhaps an e-scooter will be our first electric companion, as we patiently (or impatiently!) save and dream our way towards the X-Peng P7+ – the car that truly captured our hearts. Explore their full range and features on the Segway Australia.
The Melbourne EV Show was a brilliant reminder that the future of mobility is here, and it’s more exciting, stylish, and sustainable than ever before. We left feeling inspired, informed, and utterly captivated by the innovative spirit driving this electric revolution. What an experience!
The Melbourne EV Show by Future Drive Auto is on for one weekend only. For tickets and more information, please visit the Future Drive Auto.
