Unwind at Heal’r Sunset Retreat: A Melbourne Wellness Experience

People practicing wellness: yoga, breathwork, sound healing, yin pin, acupuncture and energy work, at the Heal'r at Greenfields, Albert Park Lake.
Imagine a Sunday afternoon where the world’s pace begins to slow, and the soft glow of golden hour washes over Melbourne. It’s a journey into the heart of ancient wisdom, a chance to reconnect with your body and find your center as day gently gives way to night. Following their inspiring winter event, Heal’r is hosting a Sunset Retreat at Greenfields, Albert Park, and it’s an immersive experience designed to help you discover a deep sense of calm.
The retreat is built around a rare and beautiful practice: Sarava (SAH-rah-vah). The name itself holds the key, blending the Sanskrit words Sara (essence) and Va (breath/life). Sarava is not a concept you grasp with your mind, but a feeling you embody with your whole being. It’s a sacred method passed down through a lineage of teachers and gurus, a remembering of the essence of calm that already exists within you.
Roslyn Foo deep in breathwork practise led by Tanya Lee at Heal'r Greenfields Albert Park, Melbourne.
Sarava is a profound blend of timeless traditions. It draws from the flow and strength of yoga, the gentle, vital energy of Qigong, the holistic principles of Chinese Medicine, and the deep tranquility of Balian meditation. By weaving in energy work and sound healing, Sarava becomes an invitation to feel, to release, and to receive. It offers a powerful opportunity to shift stagnant energy and release tension, directly supporting internal systems like gut health, hormonal balance, and your body’s natural ability to respond to stress.

The retreat unfolds with a gentle rhythm, perfectly timed with the setting sun. The afternoon begins with an immersive session of Sarava, designed to shift and release energy. Following this, you’ll enter a “golden hour” intermission.

This is your time to wander through a specially curated Wellness and Food Market 🥑. You can connect with experienced practitioners, explore nourishing gluten-free delights that are kind to your gut and liver, and simply soak in the vibrant twilight. The evening then culminates with a final Sarava session, guiding you into a deeply restorative state as candlelight takes over.

This is a rare opportunity to experience embodied presence, a feeling that cannot be copied or explained, but must be felt. It’s an evening of breathwork, sound healing, and deep connection, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Albert Park Lake. We’re invited to not just observe the sunset, but to become a part of it.
