The Merry Wives of Windsor emerged between 1597 and 1601. Moreover, it stands unique as Shakespeare’s only comedy set in Tudor England. The plot follows Sir John Falstaff’s misadventures. His attempts to seduce two married women lead to hilarious mishaps and clever revenge plots.
